Carl's out-of-school experiences include baking bread, designing research programs, creating and listening to a broad selection of music, reading, and with Shari, his bride of 44 years, hiking and keeping in contact with his two children and five grandchildren. Recently Carl and Shari have moved to St. George, Utah. About 2 miles from the Arizona border, St. George is known for its sunny days and proximity to Zion National Park.
